Moab Bike Trails

There are many Moab bike routes. There are many Moab bike trails to choose from: Hymasa climb; Dome Plateau; Navajo Rocks; and Captain Ahab. These trails are difficult. These two trails require advanced skills. Larger numbers are better at marking the more difficult trails.

Dome Plateau

The Dome Plateau trail can be found 40 miles east from Moab, off Highway 128. Trails Offroad rates it five stars. The trail offers scenic views and is easy to navigate. You can expect to complete the trail in five to six hours.

Navajo Rocks

Captain Ahab's Moab Bike Trail is the best choice if your looking for a challenging route to bike in Moab. This single-track, 9-miles long, is packed full of technical sections. It also offers jaw-dropping views. You should be ready for unpredictable conditions. Expect to roll on roots and rocks as high as 15 inches (38cm). Other obstacles such as sharp switchbacks or drops are also dangerous.

North 40

Located in the Moab Brand Trail System, North 40 bike trails offer technical and approachable biking opportunities. The trails are perfect for both intermediate and novice riders. You can also enjoy spectacular views of canyonlands from these trails. You can either ride the full 13-mile loop or choose shorter sections. Hidden Valley and Jackson Street are the trailheads.
